I am glad you found your way here.
Everyone experiences emotional difficulties at some point in their life and at times it can feel like a never-ending cycle of stress, anxiety and confusion. Professional counselling provides an opportunity for you to work through whatever it is that is troubling you, in a place where you feel listened to, supported, and accepted.
MA, Dip.Couns MBACP
As an intergrative counsellor, I may draw upon different clinical therapeutic approaches such as Person-Centred, Psychodyncamic, and/or Trauma Informed Therapy, as well as more solution focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), depending on your personal needs and requirements,
Initially I offer a 30-minute consultation session, which gives you the opportunity to find out more about my approach and decide whether counselling with me feels like a good fit for you. If you decide to go ahead, my sessions are 50 minutes per week, and I recommend us meeting for a minimum of 6 consecutive weeks initially, after which we can review and discuss what might be best for you and whether you want to continue.
Counselling is for everyone and I have experience in working with a range of mental health and wellbeing issues. The list below is designed to give you an idea of what I offer, but certainly isn't exhaustive:
Anger Management, Anxiety, Bereavement, Bipolar Disorder, Bullying, Depression, Domestic abuse, Eating disorders, Emotional abuse, Gender identity, Loneliness, Low self-esteem, PTSD, Relationship difficulties, Self-harm, Separation/divorce, Sexuality, Sexual assault and abuse, Suicidal thoughts, Trauma, Work related stress.
