About Me

Charlotte Hamilton - Counsellor and Psychotherapist

BA (Hons), MA, Dip. Couns MBACP

My own journey towards being a therapist has been a long and winding one. Having worked internationally within the university and international schools’ education sector for over sixteen years, I have gained extensive cross-cultural experience. Since training as a counsellor I have worked in an agency setting with adult survivors of sexual violence and now live overseas where I work as a therapist in an international school.

Everyone experiences emotional difficulties at some point in their life and at times it can feel like a never-ending cycle of stress, anxiety and confusion. Professional counselling provides an opportunity for you to work through whatever it is that is troubling you, in a place where you feel listened to, supported and accepted.

I provide an empathic, non-judgemental and confidential space, where our sessions together will help you open up to new personal insights and gain a greater understanding of how you think and feel. By following an integrative approach to counselling, I bring together different elements of various theoretical frameworks to suit your individual needs, making each experience uniquely yours.
